Practice closure days: holidays, breaks and CSV import

If only the front desk knows the practice is closed, recurring sessions will still land on the calendar. Closure days in Planote cancel recurring sessions on those dates automatically, so nothing needs to be deleted by hand.

  1. Admin → Closure days.
  2. A single dayAdd closure day, pick the date and an optional reason (e.g. “Labour Day”). After saving, recurring sessions on that day cancel themselves.
  3. A whole range — toggle Date range, set a start/end date (e.g. all of July) and a reason (e.g. “summer break”) — one break at once, not day by day.
  4. A recurring holiday — check Repeats annually (e.g. for December 25) — enter it once and the date returns automatically in following years.
  5. CSV import — if you already have a list of dates in a file: Import from CSV. The file header is date, dateFrom, dateTo, reasondate for a single day, dateFrom/dateTo for a range (not both in the same row). No file yet? Download CSV template. Check the row preview and confirm.

The Add Polish public holidays shortcut fills the list with statutory holidays in one click, without typing each one by hand.

What happens to sessions that were already scheduled on a newly added closure day? They cancel automatically — after saving you see a message with the number of cancelled sessions.

Does removing a closure day restore the cancelled sessions? No — sessions don’t come back automatically after removing a closure day; they need to be scheduled again.

Can I add a closure day for just one location, not the whole clinic? Closure days apply to the whole practice — if different locations need different working calendars, set that through each therapist’s individual working hours.
