Block billing — day camps and half-day camps
A day camp, half-day camp, or a package paid upfront — attendance shouldn’t break that kind of billing. A block is a separate billing model: one payment for a whole range, regardless of how many times the child actually showed up.

Section titled “Click path”- Admin → Session types — set the billing model to Prepaid block (day camp).
- When creating the actual block sessions, pick the date range and days of the week, and enter the total block amount — that’s one payment, not a sum of individual sessions.
- The session card shows a “Prepaid (block)” chip — a clear signal to the team that this session doesn’t generate a separate due.
- Attendance doesn’t recalculate the amount — the block is financially closed regardless of who showed up.

Do I still need to mark attendance for block sessions? You can, for attendance-tracking purposes, but it has no effect on the amount — the block is already paid upfront.
Can I switch a session type from block to regular after sessions have been created? The billing model is set at the session-type level — a change applies to new sessions of that type, it doesn’t retroactively recalculate sessions already created.
Does block billing show up separately in Generate monthly? Yes — a block counts as a single line item regardless of how many sessions are inside it, so you won’t see it broken out into individual entries the way per-session billing is.
