Finance: revenue report

Finance is a report, not a place to do bookkeeping — it answers “how much did the practice earn this month, and from what”, without counting by hand. Generating dues and booking payments happens in a separate tab (Payments) — both tabs total revenue from the same sessions and should agree.

  1. Admin → Finance.
  2. Pick a month — the report recalculates for that month’s full date range.
  3. The cards at the top show revenue, the number of sessions, and the average amount per session.
  4. Breakdown by session type — which session type generates the most revenue.
  5. Daily breakdown — a day-by-day table: date, number of sessions, revenue.
  6. Export CSV — downloads the data from the current view to a file.

Why does the amount in Finance differ from what I see in Payments? It shouldn’t — both total revenue from the same sessions. If you see a mismatch, check that you’re comparing the same date range in both tabs.

Does the report count revenue from cancelled sessions? No — the report is based on completed sessions, the same as generating dues in Payments.

Can I see revenue for a range other than one month? The view is organized by month — for a longer range, pull several CSV exports and combine them outside Planote.
