Find a free slot for a child
A parent asks at the front desk “do you have anything this week?”. Instead of clicking through the whole calendar blind, you search for a free time straight from the child’s record.

Section titled “Click path”- Child record → Find therapist.
- Pick a date and session type — only then does the system check who’s free and which room doesn’t collide.
- Optionally narrow it down by specialization — you’re left with people who can genuinely take that session, not the whole team.
- See the free times and click one — that’s a specific slot with a specific person, not a loose suggestion.
- Assign therapist — opens the session booking form with the date, time and person already filled in. All that’s left is to confirm.

What if no time works after I filter by specialization? Change the date or widen the range (e.g. a different day of the week) — filtering by specialization can narrow the list to zero if no one with the right competency happens to be free then.
Does the search check room conflicts too, or only therapist availability? Both — a time shown as free accounts for both therapist availability and a free room.
Do I need to know the session type up front, or can I see all free times first? You pick the session type before searching — it determines which therapists can run that appointment in the first place.
