GDPR — requesting deletion of a child's data
A parent has the right to request deletion of their child’s data (GDPR Art. 17). In Planote this isn’t a single “wipe everything” button — it’s a request the clinic consciously reviews, because financial records have to be kept under accounting law.

Section titled “Click path — parent”- Parent portal → My data → Submit deletion request.
- A dialog states clearly: personal data will be replaced (anonymized), while financial documents will be kept in line with the law.
- After confirming, the request status is “awaiting review” — the clinic has to confirm it.
Click path — clinic
Section titled “Click path — clinic”- Child record → Delete GDPR data.
- Type the child’s first name to confirm — a safeguard against accidental clicks — and confirm. The action is irreversible.
- The child moves to the inactive list with the status “Data deleted” — the personal record (name, contact) is wiped.

Does deleting GDPR data also erase the payment history? No — amounts and payment statuses remain, since accounting law requires them to be kept. Only the child’s and guardian’s personal data disappear.
Can the clinic reject a deletion request? The request requires the admin’s confirmation — that’s the moment the clinic verifies the legal basis before anonymizing.
Can the data deletion be undone? No — typing the child’s name as confirmation is the last step before irreversible anonymization.
